DERMAMUTT
They cannot read labels. So we read them for you.
Two products. Zero shortcuts.
Derma means skin science. Mutt means every dog.
We started DermaMutt because we got tired of flipping over dog grooming bottles and finding ingredient lists that read like chemistry experiments from 1987. If human skincare has moved on to ceramides, postbiotics, and barrier repair, why is your dog still getting washed with sodium lauryl sulfate and artificial fragrance?
So we built what we actually wanted to buy: grooming products with real actives at real percentages, formulated specifically for canine skin pH, and made with ingredients you could explain to a friend without a PhD.
Every product is fragrance-free. Every ingredient is food-grade. Every formula is designed for the species that is actually using it. We are not a lifestyle brand that happens to sell grooming products. We are a skin science company that happens to love dogs.
What makes us different.
Most pet grooming brands start with marketing and work backward to the formula. We start with the science.
We name every ingredient, state its percentage, and explain what it does. No proprietary blends, no pixie-dusting, no hiding behind the word natural. Check the product pages for the full breakdown.
Your dog's skin pH is 6.5-7.5, not 4.5-5.5 like yours. Every formula is built around canine skin biology. Different surfactant system. Different pH target. Different everything.
Every ingredient in every product is food-grade and selected with incidental ingestion in mind. Because we have met dogs, and we know exactly what they do after bath time.
What every DermaMutt product has in common.
Different products, same non-negotiable principles.
No essential oils, no masking scents, no fragrance of any kind. Dogs have 300 million olfactory receptors. We respect that.
All primary ingredients sourced or processed domestically. All manufacturing and filling in the USA. Qualifies for unqualified Made in USA per FTC guidelines.
Human skin is pH 4.5-5.5. Dog skin is 6.5-7.5. Every DermaMutt product is formulated for the species actually using it.
Every ingredient is food-grade and safe for incidental ingestion. Your dog is going to lick it. We planned for that.
No proprietary blends. No vague claims. Every product page shows what is in the formula and exactly how much.
Accelerated stability testing before any production run ships. We validate shelf life with data, not guesswork.
Two products. One philosophy.
Each product has its own routine. Here is the quick version.
Paw & Nose Balm
Squeeze a pea-sized amount, warm between fingers, massage into paws, nose, or elbows. Distract your dog for 60 seconds while it absorbs. Done.
Postbiotic Shampoo
Wet coat thoroughly. Apply a quarter-sized amount and lather from neck to tail. Let sit 2-3 minutes so the postbiotics can do their work. Rinse clean.
The Full Routine
Use the shampoo on bath day (every 2-4 weeks). Use the balm daily or as-needed on dry spots. They work together but each stands alone.
Good questions. Real answers.
What testers are saying.
I have tried every paw balm on Amazon. This is the first one that actually absorbs instead of sitting on top like grease. The squeeze tube alone is worth switching for.
Finally a brand that tells me what is in the bottle AND what each ingredient does. My bulldog has sensitive skin and I need to know exactly what I am putting on him.
Used the shampoo on bath day and the balm on his paws after walks. His coat has never looked this good and he stopped licking his paws raw. That is all I needed to see.
